Chartham Hatch is a small hamlet near Canterbury in Kent. Our Village Hall lies in the centre. Originally built in 1873 as a school that closed in 1966, the hall is now a well used community facility. Our regular hirers include Guides, Rainbows, a Yoga class, art and craft clubs,  a Quilting Group, WI Needlecraft, U3A Skiffle Group, Tea Club, Friday Film Club and Canterbury Brass Band.   The hall is also available for anyone to hire for parties and occasions.

The Village Hall is a registered Charity run by a Committee of volunteers who also like to organise Community Events like Breakfasts, Coffee mornings, Quiz and Bingo Nights for anyone that wants to come along – everyone is welcome.  

Fund Raising events are fun community occasions. In recent years they have included Plant and Book Sales; Christmas Bazaar; Summer Fete - Brass on the Grass; Firework Night, Italian and French Suppers, Curry Night, Burns Night, an Afternoon Tea and a celebration of the Kings Coronation Street Party. We also run a 200 Club which is well supported.  We are grateful to receive donations every year from the local Croquet Club.
